Camping at Lake Berryessa!

We had a great weekend with the family camping at Canyon Creek this weekend.  Ava got to drive Daddy's big truck and hang out with Ethan and her cousin Behan! They even went swimming in the freezing, cold pool!

Labor Day Weekend, Bass Lake

We had great fun hanging at Bass Lake with the Gallaty's and Welch's. Ava took her first boat ride in the pontoon boat that Uncle Mel rented. She enjoyed the boat but HATED wearing the life jacket. Daddy got to do some fishing and Mama skied behind Jayson's ski boat. We stayed in a beautiful house and played in the water, sand, and sun a lot. It was a nice, relaxing three day weekend!

Ava's First Birthday!

We had Ava's party at Metcalf park in San Jose.  It was a balloon theme complete with balloon decorations, a custom balloon cake, a balloon twister and a face painter, she wore a balloon dress, and we had 60 balloons spread across the park.  It was a beautiful day with family and friends!  It was Ava's first time eating cake, and she did not drop a bite.  She thoroughly devoured and enjoyed it!  She got many new toys, outfits, and books.  We are so grateful to everyone who helped and celebrated with us! Her actual birthday (on a Tuesday) was celebrated at daycare with her friends.  She brought Nothing Bundt Cakes Bundtini's : )

About to dig in to her cake, wondering why everyone is staring at her.
"MMMM! That's good cake!"  So many guests said she was the cleanest one-year old they had ever seen.  She didn't waste a bite.
This is the 6 inch cake we had make just for her to dig into.

This was the cake for the guests.  It had balloons all over it to go with the theme.

"What a great first birthday!! Party's over. I'm exhausted!"
