Camping at Costanoa In N. Santa Cruz

We had a very nice weekend camping at Costanoa KOA.  We ate out at some nice restaurants and our campsite had a beautiful ocean view! We could hear the waves at night and look at the water all day. We even got to visit the beach.  It was freezing, but beautiful!

Ava REALLY wanted to go play in the water.

Having a meltdown when we wouldn't let her go in.
Hangin in the camper (staying warm).

Despite the cold, she wanted to play outside.

The host at the restaurant really liked Ava, so he gave her a crown : )

Nana's 58th birthday!

We got to celebrate Nana and Uncle Steve's birthday in Brentwood.  It was fun to see everyone and Ava LOVES the birthday song!

We ran out of candles.  These two are OLD!

The Gang

An Amazing Companion

Unfortunately, in January we had to put our beloved Jezebel "Kitty Cat" to rest.  Steve had her for about 11 years and she was a HUGE part of our family's life.  She listened like a dog, and made even non-cat people love her.  We miss and love her dearly.  Whenever Ava sees a picture of Kitty, she kisses it and says "meow".  We will always remember her and cherish the time we had with her.

Sun bathing.

Kitty and Pumpkin getting used to each other. FINALLY!

Sharing the couch without killing each other. Whew!

Winter break~

After Christmas, Steve and I were trying to find activities to keep Ava busy.  We went to The Jungle for the first time.  Once she understood how to jump in the balls, she had a blast.   We also went to different park many times since she really likes the swing and the slide.

Climbing

Bouncing

Figuring out how the balls work

Sliding by herself

"Faster Dadda"

She loves to swing!

Ava's 2nd Christmas

We spent Christmas Eve at the Gallaty's and Christmas day at Nana and Papa's.  We thought Ava would be so excited to open all of her gifts, but really, she just loved playing with the wrapping paper.  She got a lot of clothes, some new toys, an iTunes gift card (for new apps), some building bricks, her first baby doll, and a shopping cart for her! We also got to hang out with all of her O'Hara cousins a few days after Christmas. It was a great holiday!

Ava and her new baby.  She loves to wheel her around in the cart and feed her with a bottle.

Dadda and Ava went to Christmas in the Park to see my tree and watch my class sing Christmas Carols.

Steve loves these building blocks.  He remembers having them when he was in preschool, so he had to get them for Ava.
